Meagan Church is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of emotionally resonant historical fiction that explores women’s lives and voices often overlooked by history. Raised in rural Indiana, she earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from Indiana University before building a career as a freelance writer and storyteller. Her novels include The Last Carolina Girl, The Girls We Sent Away, and The Mad Wife, which tackle subjects ranging from eugenics and the Baby Scoop Era to women’s mental health and medical treatment in the 1950s. Church now lives near Charlotte, North Carolina, with her high school sweetheart, their three children, and an assortment of pets.
