About Grant Ginder

Grant Ginder is an American novelist, writing professor, and former political speechwriter known for sharp, character-driven stories about friendship, family, relationships, and the messy realities of adulthood. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and NYU’s MFA program, he is the author of six novels, including The People We Hate at the Wedding, which was adapted into a 2022 film, Honestly, We Meant Well, and Let’s Not Do That Again. His 2026 novel, So Old, So Young, follows a close-knit group of friends across nearly two decades as they navigate love, loss, aging, and the ways friendships evolve over time. Ginder lives in Brooklyn with his husband and teaches writing at NYU.
