Josh Malerman is an American New York Times bestselling horror novelist and singer-songwriter, best known for his debut novel Bird Box, which was adapted into the hit Netflix film. Before his literary breakthrough, he toured extensively as a member of the Detroit rock band The High Strung and wrote numerous unpublished novels while on the road. His other notable books include Malorie, Unbury Carol, Daphne, and Incidents Around the House, and his work has received multiple Bram Stoker Award nominations. Malerman lives in Michigan with his partner, artist and musician Allison Laakko.
