John Boyne is an acclaimed Irish novelist best known for his international bestseller The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2006). Born in Dublin in 1971, he studied English literature at Trinity College Dublin and creative writing at the University of East Anglia. He has written extensively for both adults and younger readers, with notable works including The Heart’s Invisible Furies and All the Broken Places, a sequel to The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Boyne continues to live and write in Dublin.
