Virginia Evans (born June 2, 1986) is an American novelist best known for her acclaimed debut, The Correspondent (2025), an epistolary novel that became a major bestseller and won the 2026 Women’s Prize for Fiction. A graduate of James Madison University and Trinity College Dublin, she spent years writing before achieving publication, completing seven unpublished manuscripts along the way. Evans lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with her husband and two children. The Correspondent is being adapted into a feature film starring Jane Fonda.
